Environment
Everyone, no matter what part of Arizona we live in, deserves to exist in a livable environment. Yet there is ample evidence that our summers are getting hotter. You can see it around you. Saguaro cacti can live 300-500 years, but they are dying at alarming rates.

I will fight to create a livable environment for all people. Elect me to the state legislature, and I will work to protect our land so we can continue to live with abundance in the desert.
Tribal Sovereignty
In the United States, Indigenous tribes have the right to self-govern, manage lands, and define citizenship. This right is recognized by the Constitution, treaties, and federal law. These rights cover all Indigenous people in Arizona, including the Tohono O’odham Nation and Cocopah.
Yet some people in our state are not educated on these rights or choose to ignore them. Our voices are not heard in the legislature that is supposed to represent our nation.
Our state agencies do not know how to process or work with rural tribal addresses. We need a state agency workforce that respects tribal governments and their documents. I have the experience to achieve the change we need.
Worker's Fair Share
Whether you work on a farm or in a factory, a blue collar job or a white collar job, you should be paid a livable wage, have decent healthcare, and be able to take time off when you are sick. Our minimum wage is barely half of what is needed to live in a one-bedroom apartment. But our state legislature is not working for you. Instead, they’ve given tax cuts to billionaires. It is time for that to change.
When I am elected, I will work with the legislature to make the minimum wage a livable wage. I’ll fight for worker’s rights to adequate health care and access to sick leave when needed without having to beg for it.
Infrastructure
Every Arizonan, no matter if they live in the city or a rural county, deserves access to decent roads, clean water, and safe bridges. Yet our district’s pothole problem is so bad that residents use their own spray paint to let folks know where to drive safely! Why?
Because the current state legislature prioritizes cities and profit-making industries over the people who live and work beyond those city limits. The state legislature controls our state budget. I know how the government works.
When you elect me, I will make sure the Arizona legislature and the budget work to bring better roads, bridges, water, and other infrastructure to you, the people of District 23.
